2. Wellness Nights at Seaford Museum - was held on March 20th - see pictures on Wellness page. Meditation Night was held on April 9th and had a nice showing. Next Wellness night on May 22nd.
3. Seaford Signage - Held till we hear more from Chamber.
4. Confirmed Seaford Public Library Summer Concert Series "The Dance Mechanics" see info on our website regarding them.

*Frank discussed "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" "Christmas in July" at Mulcaheys - He will have $20 tickets for our group to sell or give to us to go.
*Trudy discussed some changes on brochure and will have a draft by mid June - talked about Vemo or Zelle or Paypal for charitable donations.
*Trudy has giveaway necklaces for parade which she will hand out in bags to everyone participating on Memorial Day

2. Wellness Nights at Seaford Historical Museum was held @7pm on March 20th.
Follow Up: The Wellness Night was well attended and Laura and Matt did a great job presenting. The followup mediation night on April 9th also went quite well. The next Wellness Night is May 22nd and we are looking for presenters.
3. Seaford Signage: Peter discussed with Cahmber who are actively involved with a plan and grant money for 4 new signs.
4. Seaford Public Library Summer Concert Series - We agreed to host "The Dance Mechanics" at 7:30pm on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at a cost of $400.00
5. Spring Fling by Seaford Chamber of Commerce - it was agreed that we would skip the Spring Fling as there was not going to be any members available that day to work.
6. We approved Trudy to buy give away necklaces for Memorial Day Parade
7. Talked about Large Banner and need to clean.
8 We will be in Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27th. 2 Wreaths Mike will talk to Angela - Discussion about sizes.

3. Mediation Class - April 9th with Laura and Judy at Seaford Historic Musem.

2. Therapy Dogs: Review – Feedback has been quite positive and we look froward to continued
updates on progress
3. Hot Chocolate Review:
a. Advertising needs to be done earlier and in a coordinated manner – this includes emails that can
be sent from Run SignUp as well as what we can send
b. New Large Banner for Train Trestle needs to be ordered and UP by 11/01/2024 – Rob Romano has offered to secure the Banner for safekeeping.
c. We should use one format for the HCR Brochure which should include one set of sponsorship levels (example:
Platinum $500, Gold $350, Silver $250) and the
4. Various benefits to the sponsors for each level should be clear
5. It was agreed that we will give Steve Bongiovi a $150.00 gift certificate to Cara Mia for his service as announcer at the HCR. I delivered it on 02/04/2024.
6.Shirts: Ken, Laura and Mike will look for alternative vendors for our t-shirt to see if we can cut costs on quantities of 850 and 1,000 tshirts
7. Race Timing: Mike will inquire about getting results faster with complete information on participants .
8. Greg (our race director) needs to be questioned about not having a HCR Banner at the Finish Line
9. Ken and Kate will look for alternative vendors for the beverages and bagels to see if we can cut costs.
10.Laura will research email services such as Mail Chimp so that we can send bulk messages.
11.We will order 25 HCR signs to be placed around town prior to the HCR as our supply has been depleted
12.Health Nights at Seaford Historic Museum: Laura has set March 20 and May 22 as the dates for our Health Nights and we are looking for presenters for the evening which will be held at the Seaford Historical Museum.

Seaford Beverage is still donating water bottles and runner sign up will do an email blast as our website WIX is now charging too much for email blasts.

3) Jim Hughes presentation, November 16th 95am in High School for 50-60 Student "Leaders" Mike & Ken attending - might be some others including Warren.
4)Hot Chocolate Run - Went over with Steve Bongiovi, Race Announcer, procedure and basic time line for race announcements, discussions held on if picture taking should be moved away from awards area. Discussions on whether tables and tents are same thing. Karen has gotten some tents.. Discussions on promotions for platinum silver etc status. Peter involved in platinum sponsors. Runner Sign Up has sent out email blast - Trudy has sent out to about 200 past runners. Will have another meeting with details on November 28, 2023. O'Keefe family is supplying waters- discussion on amount- 700.

6)Laura gave an update on future wellness nights dates she discussed with Judy are March 20 and May 22. Dates approved by SWC members. Robert knows someone who does back work. Laura has a few people. Discussed dangers of falling. Name thrown around "Wellness at the Library".
7)Tackapausha Update: Katie,Laura,Trudy walking around park and spoke to Becky. Park needs some upkeep, Becky in museum seemed ready to work with us. Parks needs a local voice to get more maintenanece.as many trees were down in bypaths and water is not viewable from many parts of the park. They also spoke to an everyday park goer and he felt the overgrown plants around the water is biggest eyesore. He also thought an deck to water for viewing would be a welcome addition.

1)Donna provided information on the approximate income and expenses for the HCR. Frank questioned the math, and it was agreed that the numbers,although not exact, were close enough for us to get an idea of how well the HCR profited versus previous years. it was decided to reduce expenses for the 2023 HCR to adjust for fewer participants.
2) Gazebo Update: Mike – Tom informed the members that he noticed the interior light out in the gazebo as well as several lampposts in the parking lot. He will replace the sensor and bulb in the gazebo and we will contact Chris Carini to
have the lampposts checked and repaired.
3) Hot Chocolate Run: 2023 date is December 2nd . – We debated the procedure for raffles and voted by all in attendance (plus Ken Nersesian) that “The holder of the Bib will get the prize” – The owner of the Bib need not be present. 10 in favor, 1 opposed. Mike will make this notation on all advertisements and applications. In addition, we will raise the registration fee by $5.00 at each
level (Online, Paper and Race Day)

3) Hot Chocolate Run: 2023 date is December 2nd. We debated how to run the HCR raffle: Must be present vs ticket holder wins. We will gather more information to reach a conclusion.
4) New Projects: T. Waslow brought up idea of a new sign at the corner of Washington and Sunrise. We advised all new ideas be presented with backup information to aid in our assessment of moving forward or not on a project.

2) Recap of Dr Dewey Presentation - Jennifer was pleased with feedback she received as was the Anthony. Discussed a new speaker at the middle school. Sharon Galvin presentation 5/10/22 Cyber Security. Everyone agreed to $500 sponsorship. Jennifer and Anthony said they would promote Seaford Wellness night.
3) Independence Day Parade -Donna was not able to attend but everything on for parade.
4) Gazebo had more spindles broken, which will be replaced in future. There was a sighting of one set of the vandals. Discussion was had on contacting the police and high school. Videos of the boarders.

6) Social Media - Trade Display Done - Agreement on joining Twitter for 5K.

4) Gazebo - Ken repaired spindles and they are good as of today.
5)Hot Chocolate Run: December 3rd. Going full speed ahead for normal event. Begin planning in April meeting. Sweatshirt design being done.

1) Treasurers Report.
2)Jennifer confirmed the Dr. Dewey presentation will take place on 3/30/22. There will be 2 presentations during the day for the students in the gym, and a Zoom presentation at 7pm which is open to the public. If anyone from the SWC would like to attend the daytime presentations, we have to provide her with a list of names. She has also accepted the position as Asst. Principal at the Middle School and intends on staying connected with us. SWC donation is $1,112.50.
3)Independence Day application has been submitted. Parade is 7/2/2022. Rain date is 7/3/2022.
4) Gazebo has been repaired by Ken. 7 spindles were replaced.
5)Questions on whether there will be a Memorial Day Parade.
6)Hot Chocolate Run is confirmed December 3, 2022. Discussed covid situation and bagels. One idea was energy bars.
7) Social Media discussed and everyone got QR code to add Instagram to their phone and visit SWC site.. Trudy asked for
pictures from previous events be sent to her. We should also look into getting a SWC backdrop for when we do photo shoots.
8) Ken is continuing to work on the “Seaford Wellness Council’s Health and Wellness Night”. We have chosen Tuesday, May 3rd at 7:00-8:30pm at the Seaford Historical Society Museum (3890 Waverly Avenue, Seaford). So far we have 2 guest speakers:
Dr. Jason Flicker of South Shore Eye Care to discuss eye care, and Anthony
Bevilacqua of AB Fitness to discuss nutrition. I have a call out to Dr Gary Segroi (Chiropractor) to see if he would also like to participate. Ken has spoken with Judy Bongiovi of the Historical Society. She said they can accommodate about 80 people. They have the chairs, coffee urns, cups, sugar and tea bags. We would just have to provide the coffee (reg. and decaf.), milk and whatever food (cookies, pastries, etc.). They have a large projection screen and are able to project from laptops or thumb drives. Let’s make this event a huge success!!

2) Hot Chocolate Run: We should be prepared to move forward unless we get a reason not to host it. At this point, we asked Keri to begin work on a logo for the shirt. We can wait until September before making a final decision.
3) Middle School Presentation – April 27, 2020 “Josh Rivedal”: Hopefully to be re-scheduled
He speaks about Mental health issues, positive self-talk and how to develop a healthy brain. He also speaks about depression and suicide prevention and resources available to our students. Our HS students had seen him last year at Hofstra and absolutely loved him.

We will be depositing a check for $1,030.00 from proceeds from the Community Kindness Walk organized by Nancy Fitzgerald. In addition, we received a $25.00 check from PRTiming for race participant.
2) Tackapausha Preserve Project:
The presentation was discussed with members of Nassau County Parks Dept. and permission was granted to replace the one bridge just North of the train tracks. We were informed that all the plans must meet DEC regulations and we must acquire the proper permits to then submit to the County before work commences. After discussing our progress to date, BR brought up a vote to either continue with a bridge project for the Preserve or abandoning the project entirely. Vote was 7 to 2 in favor of abandoning the project in order to allocate our time and resources to projects we belive we can work to completion in a reasonable time. I will notify the Parks Dept and Preserve.
3) Beautification: Planters installed. One Bench needs to be secured.
Ken, Peter and Mike met with Town and Park representatives (Dan Lino (Parks Dept), Markus (Erin King’s Office) and Matt (Parks Dept) to add trees, remove shrubs and possibly install surveillance camera at gazebo. They will remove shrubs between WWI Memorial and Parking Lot, add trees to the row on Sunrise Highway and replace a dead tree near the gazebo. We will need to make contact with local organizations that have signs and those involved with the mobile signs. Mike attempted to contact Michael Interrante to see if he will draft plans for a new sign that community organizations names may be displayed and also a brick wall and sidewalk pavers at WWI Memorial. We are waiting for a reply. I will follow up as will Ken ask Marguerite for her contact.
